DocuGuest for GuestPro
GuestPro connects to DocuGuest in two ways. Pick whichever fits your workflow, you can use both side by side.
- Mobile: scan from any Android phone or tablet at the front desk or on the go.
- Desktop: open DocuGuest directly inside a GuestPro reservation and scan with the computer's webcam.
Mobile
1. Install the app
Install DocuGuest from Google Play on any Android device.
2. Enter your activation code
Open the app, tap Settings from the home screen and paste the activation code GuestPro provided you into the Code field. The code links every scan from this device to your GuestPro account.
3. Scan the document
From the home screen pick how you want to read the document and follow the on-screen prompts:
- Document scanner: camera capture for passports, ID cards and MiDNI QR codes.
- NFC Reader: chip read for modern passports and DNIe cards.
When the result screen appears, tap Send to push the data to GuestPro.
4. See the data in GuestPro
Open the guest you want to fill in. Click Documentos escaneados at the top of the panel and pick the scan you just sent. The fields are loaded into the guest record automatically.
Desktop
If your reception has a computer with a webcam (or a document camera), you can scan straight from the GuestPro reservation without the phone. The DocuGuest button shows up in two places.
From a room (recommended)
Open the reservation, go to Habitaciones, scroll to the guest you want and click DocuGuest. The scanned data is attached to that guest automatically.
From the Guests tab
You can also open DocuGuest from Huéspedes. Use this when the reservation has a single room, the scan is then assigned to the room automatically.
For multi-room bookings, use the Habitaciones tab instead so each scan goes to the right room.
The scanner
The scanner opens as a modal on top of GuestPro. It's the same scanner described in the Desktop guide.
You can scan several documents in a row, or upload pre-scanned files for bulk processing, handy for groups. Both live scans and uploaded files are loaded into the reservation automatically, refresh the reservation in GuestPro to see them.
